Trello vs. Stickies

What is Trello?

Trello is a kanban-based task and project management app that is owned by the company Atlassian. Kanban is a project management methodology in which tasks and work are visually organized by column. As work progresses, individual tasks are moved from one column to another until the work is complete. In kanban, the tasks on the board are called cards.

What is Stickies?

Stickies is an versatile, visual way to organize and manage your work. It can be used in a variety of applications including project management, content curation, and collaboration. In Trello, work is organized on boards. In Stickies, they are called Walls. In Trello, individual tasks are called cards. In Stickies, they're called, well... stickies! In Trello, tasks are organized in one way while Stickies provides multiple ways of organizing content.

How does Stickies compare to Trello?

In a nutshell, Trello is all about kanban. Like Trello, Stickies supports the kanban methodology, but it also allows you to organize your work in other ways. The most obvious difference is that Stickies lets you organize your work in a free-form, open canvas experience.
